By car, via water or by public transport; the ss Rotterdam is easy accessible with all means of transportation.
Car
You drive around the corner and suddenly there she is, with her beauty and imposance! By car is one of the best and easiest ways to get to the ss Rotterdam. It is only 10 minutes away from the A16 high way.
Parking
With 580 parking spaces on the quayside, you always have a spot nearby the ss Rotterdam! Parking costs €3.10 per hour or €15.50 per day. With a day ticket you can drive in and out unlimited as a guest. Also, the car parking contains charging points for electric vehicles.
Public transport
Also by public transport the ship is easy accessible. Bus 77 drives from Zuidplein shopping center via metro station Rijnhaven to the ss Rotterdam and vice versa. From Central Station Rotterdam, take the metro D or E to Slinge or De Akkers and exit at the metro station Rijnhaven.
Shuttle service
Did you miss bus 77 on metro station Rijnhaven? Use the free shuttle service of the ss Rotterdam, which shuttles back and forth between metro station Rijnhaven and the ship.
The shuttle is in service on Mondays till Thursdays from 8 a.m. till 11:30 a.m. and 3 p.m. till 6:30 p.m. Fridays till Sundays the shuttle is in service from 8:30 a.m. till 7 p.m.

Water taxi
The wild waves, the splashing water of the Maas, the wind in your face. With high speed you slide over the water to the center of Rotterdam with a water taxi. It is quick and easy. Adults pay €4.50 per person and children €2.50 per child for a single trip. The water taxi leaves from the pontoon on the B-Deck. We recommend to make a reservation at the hotel reception on the Main Deck or by calling the water taxi via +31 (0) 10 403 03 03.
Water bus
Discover Rotterdam and its surrounding cities with the water bus. For only €1 you travel from Rotterdam to Heijplaat-RDM or the Erasmus bridge. Change here for example to the world-famous mills of Kinderdijk, the Dutch Biesbosch or the ‘oldest city of Holland’: Dordrecht. A day ticket is available at the hotel reception for only €13 per person. Children from 4 to 11 years and +65-year-olds benefit from a reducted fee of €9.50 per person.
Grab a bike
Dutch people bike about 2.9 kilometers a day. And also in Rotterdam is the (electric) bicycle the perfect way to discover the city. Take the bike with you on the water bus and bike along the mills of Kinderdijk or in the Dutch Biesbosch. Renting a bike is possible at the hotel reception on the Main Deck, up from €15 for a whole day.
