International quality mark for corporate social responsibility
Green Key is the international quality mark for sustainable companies in the recreation, leisure and business market. Companies that have a Green Key certification are seriously and verifiably engaged in sustainability, corporate social responsibility (CSR) and care for the environment, the company and their surroundings. WestCord Hotels is proactively committed to doing more for the environment than required by law and regulations.
When Green Key achieved?
Hotel New York Rotterdam
Hotel New York Rotterdam, located in the former head office of the Holland America Line, obtained the Golden Green Key at the end of October 2011. Hotel New York has opted for a sustainable policy that is aimed at treating people, the environment and the planet with care with the following measures.
ss Rotterdam
The ss Rotterdam has had the Golden Green Key certification since 2016. This was again awarded to ss Rotterdam on Thursday 6 January 2022.
Art Hotel Amsterdam
Art Hotel Amsterdam received the Golden Green Key in 2010. On December 16, 2010, the quality mark was officially awarded by the Alderman for Economic Affairs, West district.
Golden Green Key has been extended in 2022.
City Centre Amsterdam
On January 1, 2013, WestCord City Center obtained the gold Green Key certificate.
Golden Green Key has been extended in 2022.
Fashion Hotel Amsterdam
Fashion Hotel Amsterdam has a Golden Green Key certificate, which was extended again in 2022.
WTC Leeuwarden
In 2011, the WTC Expo Leeuwarden and WestCord WTC Hotel Leeuwarden were jointly awarded a gold Green Key certificate, from weatherwoman Helga van Leur and Derk Jan Verstand of the Stichting Keurmerk Milieu, Safety and Quality.
Golden Green Key has been extended in 2022.
Hotel Schylge
Hotel Schylge obtained the Golden Green Key in 2013. The following measures have been taken, among other things, with regard to sustainable entrepreneurship.
ApartHotel Boschrijck
ApartHotel Boschrijck obtained the Golden Green Key in 2013. The hotel is hereby recognized for, among other things, the activities below regarding sustainable business.
WestCord Hotel Delft
In 2011, Hotel Delft received the Golden Green Key.
Hotel Jakarta Amsterdam
Hotel Jakarta has had the Golden Green Key since its opening.

In 2022, The Market Hotel Groningen received the Golden Green Key.

In 2022, Strandhotel Seeduyn has been able to extend the Golden Green Key.
Hotel Noordsee
In February 2022, Hotel Noordsee extended the Golden Green Key.
Hotel de Wadden
In 2022, Hotel de Wadden has been able to extend the Golden Green Key.
Hotel de Veluwe
In 2021, Hotel de Veluwe received the Golden Green Key.
Green Key
Certified Green Key accommodations will always be economical with water and energy. For example, by using energy-saving lamps, light sensors, timers for heating & air conditioning and solar panels.
