WestCord Hotels B.V. (hereinafter: “WestCord”) is responsible for data processing. Because our processing operations fall within the statutory exemption regulations, they are not registered with the Dutch Data Protection Authority. In this privacy statement we explain which personal data we collect and use and for what purpose.

Capturing and processing data

We only keep and use personal data that are directly provided by you or of which it is clear that they are provided to us. Personal data that is no longer needed is removed. You can also ask for inspection, modification or deletion of data yourself. See the contact information below.

We store personal data that are necessary for the delivery of our services. Think of data that is necessary for invoicing or sending.

Security of personal data

We use strict security procedures, among other things to prevent unauthorized access to personal data. In particular, we use secure connections (Secure Sockets Layer or SSL) which protects all information between you and our website when you register or enter personal data.

Communication email addresses and financial data

To ensure that you can always recognize when an email is genuinely from us, we would like to inform you about the email domains we use for communication and how to recognize them:

We use the reservation system Mews. It is possible that an automatically generated email related to a stay at one of our hotels will be sent. In this case, the sender address will be noreply@mews.li.

For group requests and quotes for meetings and other types of events, we use the Pxier system. Quotes from this system will be sent from events@pxier.com.

Other examples may include:

Please be vigilant when you receive emails claiming to be from us but not coming from the domains listed above. Be cautious and do not click on suspicious links or attachments.

Important:

We will never ask for credit card details or other sensitive financial information via email or phone. If you receive such a request, please contact us immediately.

Email marketing, newsletter and online marketing

We offer a newsletter through which we aim to inform interested parties about our hotels, restaurants, packages, offers, events and related services. Your email address will only be added to our newsletter database if you subscribe to it, or if we are permitted to contact you about similar products or services on the basis of an existing customer relationship. Each newsletter contains a link that allows you to unsubscribe easily.

When you subscribe to our newsletter, we may also use your personal data, such as your email address and any other contact details you have provided to us, for online marketing purposes. This may mean that we share this data securely with advertising platforms. We do this, for example, to show you relevant advertisements from WestCord Hotels, to exclude existing newsletter subscribers from certain campaigns, to create similar audiences, or to measure the effectiveness of our marketing campaigns.

Where possible, data is encrypted or hashed before it is shared with an advertising platform. The relevant platforms may compare this data with data they already hold, for example to determine whether you have an account with that platform. WestCord Hotels does not sell your personal data to third parties.

You can unsubscribe from our newsletter at any time using the unsubscribe link in each email. If you wish to object to the use of your data for online marketing via advertising platforms, you can contact us using the contact details at the bottom of this privacy statement. After unsubscribing or objecting, we will no longer use your data for these marketing purposes, unless we are legally required to retain certain data.

Click behavior and visit data

General visitor data is kept on the website. In this context, in particular the IP address of your computer, the possible user name, the time of retrieval and data that the browser of a visitor sends, can be registered and used for statistical analyzes of visiting and clicking behavior on the website. We try to anonymize these data as much as possible. This information is not provided to third parties.

Use of cookies

To be able to provide remote assistance via our website or to chat with you, we use cookies. A cookie is a simple small file that is sent on this website and stored by your browser on the hard drive of your computer. You can refuse the use of these cookies, although this will ensure that the aforementioned services do not work at all.
