Check in / Check out

Check-in at WestCord Hotel De Wadden is possible from 4:00 PM. On the day of departure, we kindly ask you to check out before 10:00 AM, due to the ferry departure times.

Luggage transport

On the day of departure, we offer complimentary luggage transport. Please make sure your luggage is labeled and placed in the carts that will be ready outside. Luggage tags are available at the reception.

Room service

Ontbijt

After a good night’s sleep, you can enjoy a delicious and extensive breakfast buffet. Breakfast is available Monday to Friday from 8:00 AM to 10:00 AM, and on Saturdays, Sundays, and during school holidays from 8:00 AM to 10:30 AM.

Bicycle rental

Rent a bike at Fietsverhuur Zeelen and receive a 10% discount as a guest of WestCord Hotels! The rental costs will be charged to your hotel bill, so there’s no need to pay at Fietsverhuur Zeelen. Have you already booked your bikes in advance? Then you’ll receive a voucher to hand in at Fietsverhuur Zeelen. You’ll find Fietsverhuur Zeelen right at the beginning of the Dorpsstraat.

Ferry tickets

Ferry departures are often fully booked. We therefore recommend reserving your ferry tickets in advance via Rederij Doeksen, so you’re guaranteed a spot on board!

History

Hotel de Wadden on Vlieland has a rich history that dates back to the time when the building served as the local nautical school. The story of WestCord Hotels began in 1968, when baker Emo Westers bought the hotel for his 18-year-old son Harry. Because Harry was so young, he even needed a special exemption from the Queen to be allowed to run the hotel. Today, Hotel de Wadden is a charming family hotel with 22 rooms, where the maritime history is still palpable. The hotel offers a warm and personal atmosphere.
